Ways to use a face reading
A reading is most useful not as "right or wrong" but as a prompt to look at yourself and the other person. Here are nine everyday uses of Mienlore — and the places it should not be used.
1. Knowing yourself
Start with the tendency balance (drive↔care, expression↔restraint, social↔independent, real↔ideal) and the "questions to ask yourself". Leaning one way is not good or bad; it mirrors where you are putting your energy lately.
- Once a month, shoot under the same conditions (front, neutral, bright) and compare only the complexion (brightness, luster).
- Save the PDF report so you have a baseline to re-read later.
2. Choosing profile, résumé and dating photos
The same person reads differently from photo to photo. Upload each candidate and compare the first-screen keywords and face type to pick the photo closest to the impression you want (careful, expressive, approachable…).
- Résumé or business card: photos that yield "care / real" keywords read as steady.
- Dating or social: photos strong on "expression / social" are easier to start a conversation with.
- Mouth corners and expression matter a lot — try both a smiling and a neutral photo.
3. Romance and marriage
On Compatibility, two photos give a romance or marriage reading: the five-element relation of the face types, how your tendencies interlock, and the features tradition considers favorable (lips, earlobes, mouth corners).
- The "complementary pair" items make good conversation starters: "you push, I check".
- Only upload another person's photo with their consent.
4. Partners, investing and teams
Business compatibility looks at complementary roles, investing at the balance of boldness and caution, and working together at shared direction and division of roles. Upload several people and it suggests the best pairings.
- Before partnering, check "which axis do we split on" and agree in advance how decisions at that point are made — this genuinely helps.
- Do not use it for hiring decisions. Appearance is not a lawful basis for selection in many jurisdictions (in Korea, the Fair Hiring Procedure Act bars requesting appearance unrelated to the job). Use it only to divide roles in an existing team.
5. Sales, negotiation and interview prep
Analyzing a counterpart's photo (with their consent — a photo you took together, say) for the expression↔restraint and real↔ideal axes hints at how to pitch: numbers and evidence first for restraint/real, picture and direction first for expression/ideal.
- Interview prep: compare the impression your photo gives with what the role expects, then adjust expression and hair.
- Do not analyze, save or share other people's photos without consent. Analysis stays on the device and leaves nothing behind.
6. Styling to balance the face
Tradition holds that the forehead (upper zone), glabella and brows can be balanced with hair and brow grooming. Look at your zone ratios and glabella width and experiment.
- Short upper zone → show the forehead; long upper zone → bangs for balance, says tradition.
- Narrow glabella → tidy the inner brow heads slightly to "open the life palace".
- Glasses change the brow–eye impression a lot; compare photos with and without.
7. Reading the timing (age places)
Enter your age and the reading names the facial place your current year belongs to in the traditional age table. Reading "this year's place" before a big step (opening a shop, moving, changing jobs) is an old East Asian custom. Decide on real conditions; use this to reflect.
8. Content and creative work
- Thumbnails and social profiles: compare candidate photos' keywords to match your channel's mood.
- Characters for fiction, comics and games: use the guide to pick a face type and features that fit the personality you designed.
- The sketch portrait and share card carry the result without the photo — easy to share.
9. Family
Only people aged 14 and over are analyzed. Compare tendency axes with adult children or siblings as a way to talk about "where do we differ?". Do not decide a child's path or aptitude by face reading.
10. What not to do
- Do not base decisions in medicine, law, finance, hiring, lending or insurance on it. Face reading is not a scientifically validated prediction.
- Do not analyze or share other people's photos without consent.
- Do not judge or discriminate against people by the result. The reference group only calibrates measurements and never enters the judgment.
- In an emergency (health, safety) turn to professionals and services, not to face reading.
FAQ
Same person, different results per photo? Angle, expression and light change the measurements. Guided capture (front, sides, up, down, ears) averages several angles and reduces the wobble. Smiles and open mouths change the mouth items, so shoot with a neutral face.
Are ears read? Yes. The ear steps of guided capture, or added ear photos, estimate ear position, size, lobe and protrusion. If hair covers the ears, the ear items are skipped.
Where do the photos go? Nowhere. They are measured inside the browser and only the result remains; the report uses a sketch instead of the photo.
